Hi Backers, Happy Summer!!

It has been a DOOZY of a few weeks here to say the least! We just finished moving everything into a new office- including Matt, his Pineapple shirt, our new Pineapple tapestry, and our unicorn friend (see below).

In between all of our fancy decorating, we put together some fun updates for you! Ready??

Remember when we told you the packaging for the travel bronzer and single eyeshadow was finalized? Welcome to True Life: We are an indie beauty brand. There was an issue with the back sticker on the product and product box, so we need to re-work it a bit and send it back through production. Fun times!! But don't worry, this won't affect your delivery schedule at all (it's just a minor pain in the butt). "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!" 

Now it's time for some GOOD news! We received a shipment of a new Matte Mousse formula and OH MY GOODNESS YOU GUYS IT'S AMAZING!!!!! This is undoubtedly the most comfortable matte formula you will ever feel and we are so excited about it. Now that we have chosen the formula, the factory will send us a ton more color options, but below is a picture of some of the shades we have so far for your Rose Matte Mousse! What do you think?? (Top picture is with flash, bottom is without flash)  

We also started to play with some different nail polish colors and formulas and wanted to show you what we have so far! *None of the colors or formulas are final, we are just playing with some options!* As a reminder, the Nail Polish color winners were Purple, Turquoise, and Glitter. And as suggested by many of you, we are trying out some mood-changing formulas!    

Some other notes:

1. We apologize for the delay with the Digital Background! Lisa is still working on something extra magical for you!

2. If you ordered the Angled Blush Brush for JUNE Delivery, you should have received it. If your credit card was declined when we closed the BackerKit on 6/10, your brush was not sent out with the initial order, but was sent out on 6/27 if you corrected your payment method.

If you ordered the Blending Brush for JUNE Delivery, we already sent you an email, but there was a mistake on our end so those brushes will ship with everything else closer to September.

3. If you receive emails saying your payment declined, you will not be receiving your makeup. Please make sure your payment went through successfully, and if you have any questions message us on Kickstarter or send an email to [email protected].

First Look... TRAPPER KEEPER!

Hi everyone!

Only a few more hours until BackerKit closes, ahh!! Choose any additional items you wish to add-on and triple check that your address is correct. We will lock in all of your information and close the pre-order store late Friday night and will bill you for your items the following day, Saturday June 10th. If you increased your pledge or added on any items and it does not show up on your profile, DON'T WORRY! It worked, but it will not appear until we charge the account on the 10th. If you still want to be sure, feel free to message us and we can double check for you! 

Early Blush and Blending brushes will be sent out over the next few weeks just as fast as our little doll hands can pack them! (Just kidding, our hands aren’t that little, except Jess’s but she’s like 5’0)

Still with us? Good! Because we have a VERY magical sneak peek for you!!! And not to give it away, but it’s in the shape of a Lisa Frank Trapper Keeper...

Bold and Bright Palette Winner!

Hi Backer Beauties!

The results are in for the Bold and Bright Trapper Keeper Eyeshadow Palette, and #3 is the big winner!! 

Thank you so much to everyone who voted and voiced their ideas and opinions. As you know this is our first Kickstarter campaign and first time collaborating with the public on products, so we really appreciate your patience and trust with us in this new and interactive format ☺ 

Just another reminder, we have kept open BackerKit an extra few days and will now close JUNE 9th, so finalize your address, payment methods, and add-on items before then! We hope to get another production update soon and get some more surveys for you guys within the next few weeks. Everything else is going really really well and we are still on schedule for a September delivery. We are working super hard every day for you and we are really having so much fun doing it! Thanks for sticking with us, we’ll be back soon with more updates as soon as possible!

Hi Backers!

The dolls here with another schedule and production update! SO much has been going on in the doll house, it’s crazy exciting and we are stoked to share this week’s updates with you.

First-

Due to recent production updates and requests to extend the pre-sale deadline, the new deadline to pre-order the Lisa Frank x Glamour Dolls collection will be Friday, June 9th. This extension will NOT affect the production and shipping schedule, we only want to give more people the opportunity to see more updated products before you complete your BackerKit order. 

Second-

Backer’s who chose JUNE DELIVERY for their Angled Blush Brush, we have locked down your addresses and charged for those orders and fulfillment began today! If you have not pre-ordered the Angled Blush Brush yet, it will be for sale on our website as soon as all the pre-order brushes have been sent out. If you have any questions regarding your BackerKit add-ons, message us through our Kickstarter page.

Third- (We saved the best for last, obviously)

Naturally Glam Winners + A new twist on Bold & Bright

Dear Dolls,

We have the winners for the Naturally Glam Palette! They are:

Rose Gold, Champagne, Twilight Purple, Smokey Grey, Dusty Pink, and Deep Rose!  We think this palette will be stunning.  We will be sure that every shade is totally unique and that you will be able to create several looks from these colors! Also, thank you to everyone who gave us name suggestions! Loving the name Ballerina Bunny for one of the pink's!!

Now let's talk about the rainbow elephant in the room. We heard you on the Bold and Bright palette. Voting on individual colors for this palette wasn’t the best idea, and we see that now. We want this palette to be true to what it is... which is BOLD and BRIGHT. We want these colors to look great as a set and allow you to create epic and daring looks.

After brainstorming some more, we determined the best way to do this was to create 3 color concept palettes and have you vote on your favorite.  I know I’m a visual person myself, so I believe this makes it easier to close your eyes and picture the final product.  Remember these colors look a little different on every monitor, but you are still getting a pretty good picture of what you’re voting on. I think you will be happy with this mix of shades. These colors were both pulled right from Lisa’s art and the latest trends. When I imagined this line, I definitely wanted a mix of colors that we could wear everyday, and of course shades that would honor Lisa.  But this is literally the BOLD and BRIGHT palette, this is our chance to go crazy and create something unique not on the market.
