Honestly, we are too. Because it touched everyone here how many of you actually purchased these items as gifts for friends and family, we wanted to gift you a little something to give those special people to let them know what they’ve got coming their way!

On another note, we’re so glad that so many of you appreciated the ingredient information as well as seeing where we are with each of the products in the line. 

The reason we shared that update, as well as provide individual product updates weekly is because this is the most accurate and quick way to update everyone on the status of the project. Our timelines shift nearly DAILY based on what is approved or what needs to be revised and edited. These Kickstarter updates are more accurate than a month delivery estimate ever could be because we’re literally taking you along in the production process!!

As you all know, we ran into trouble a few weeks ago with the Naturally Glam Eyeshadow Palette and the Bold and Bright Eyeshadow Palette in which the artwork on the front of the palette wasn’t lining up correctly. For example on the Naturally Glam Palette the two little kitties faces weren’t lining up….*tear*. It was challenging but our supplier finally fixed the art. To save time, instead of shipping us the palette right away we asked to see a video. Well here’s the video we received.

Welcome to production, friends! 

 We fixed the front and created a problem on the side sleeve. Now the art is off again. Lisa’s art is extremely complicated. Our supplier has even brought this to a factory that specializes in paper to solve this problem. Even though it’s another setback, there’s good news; it’s an easy fix! But it does mean ANOTHER round of samples and another delay. A quote from our supplier Susan, “We do it perfect by next time”.

So while we wait for another video to come our way, we can’t thank you all enough for your support and we’re so thankful for you this holiday season. Production update! The one we’ve ALL been waiting for!!!!

We hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving, we’re so appreciative of each and every one of you who took time out of your weekend to drop us a love note via email/ DM/ social media. You are AWESOME!

Now, we are super excited to share where we are at with each item in this collection because we know you are all on the edge of your seats!! We’ve also gone ahead and addressed ingredients (where applicable) because we know some of you have reached out with allergy concerns.

Each product is at a different point in production based on if final samples have been approved or if there are still rounds of revisions that need to be completed. As a reminder, our offices aren’t located within our factories. Nor are we located near Lisa Frank headquarters. We try to share pictures/ swatches once a product has reached a point in it’s production life cycle where not TOO many changes will be made.

To overview our process: 

• We work with factories to create our dream packaging and formula 
• We pull in initial samples developed according to our “wishlist” and tweak the components and formulas to ensure they’re at both Lisa Frank and our standards
• Lisa Frank creates incredible artwork that is sent over to our factory 
• We create a real-life sample of both primary and secondary packaging (that refers to the product itself, as well as its outer carton.) 
•  After Lisa Frank and Glamour Dolls approves that final sample, we move into production! 

Lisa Frank is hands-on in every single step of this process, not a single item moves forward until the product is 100000% right in her eyes and in ours! Once she makes her changes, we move forward to the next step.

Meet Your Lisa Frank x Glamour Dolls Lip Tin!

Hi Backers!

Happy ALMOST Thanksgiving!

We’re comin’ atcha this week with another finalized product shade and couldn’t WAIT to show you! The Lisa Frank x Glamour Dolls Lip Balm Tin is one of our favorite products because the packaging is just so. Darn. Cute!

Keep in mind, this packaging will have Lisa’s art all over it (it won’t just be a plain silver tin, of course!)

“We chose a tin because it’s something that will outlast the product itself. Once you’ve finished the lip balm, the tin will make an iconic collector’s item for years to come.”- Co-Founder, Jessica Romano.

We’ve been working hard to develop the perfect LISA FRANK shade, and we know quite a few of you are looking for the iconic colors that Lisa Frank is known for!! It took a few rounds of revisions and samples, but we’re so proud share what we landed on!!!

This formula has to be one of our most favorite yet! When we initially first developed this product, we ran into an issue where the color payoff was great but it didn’t have the best feeling on the lips. We tweaked and adjusted the formula to include moisturizing oils like Jojoba and Vitamin E that really nourish and hydrate for the perfect pout. It’s incredibly moisturizing, leaving lips conditioned with a hint of color!

We know we owe you all a dedicated update to address production timelines and specifically, ingredients as we know that’s a concern that’s been highly talked about here in the comments of each Update. We’ll have that for you all first thing next week and will address any/all questions that pop up.

We hope you all have an amazing Thanksgiving break, the Dolls are looking forward to taking the rest of the week to spend time with family and friends!! We’re so thankful to have all of you Backers as part of our little Glam Fam, and cannot tell you enough how much we appreciate your love & support.

We had also developed additional limited-edition shades as a both a surprise and for customers like Hot Topic, though that surprise leaked earlier than we would have liked!!

Introducing...Stargazing & Heartthrob! Single Eyeshadow + Bronzer shipping update #2, Lisa Frank Postcards, Retail Partnerships & more!

Hi Backers!

Wow, this week was a DOOZY! We were so overwhelmed with joy when we saw the Instagram posts, Facebook posts, tweets, emails, DM’s and MORE of you Backers receiving your Single Eyeshadow and Travel Bronzers! We are over the MOON happy that you all love both products, we’re really proud of how they turned out and can’t wait for you all to see what’s to come!

We’ll start off as usual by addressing some questions and concerns we see via the comments here on Kickstarter and on social.

• Shipping Update: As of 11/15, we have completely finished the Bronzer and Single Eyeshadow mailer. Everything has been sent out, if you feel as though you should have received these products but have yet to get tracking info from us...please reach out to [email protected] and we’ll look into it for you!
• The Vintage Lisa Frank Postcard: Okay all, we’re going to be completely honest here.... our warehouse goofed up. Remember when we said we were partnering with a third-party shipper for fulfillment moving forward? Well, as you can expect we anticipated hitting a few bumps in the road and one of them happened to be with the postcard. If you all remember, we said that they’d be shipped out as a replacement for the digital background with your entire order once all of our products were through production, and our warehouse missed the memo. As a result, those of you who received the Single Eyeshadow & Bronzer got your postcard early (before WE here at the Doll House even got to hold them ourselves!!) For those of you who backed the BFF 4 Ever tier (and/or should have received two postcards!) you'll be receiving your SECOND card once all products are through production and you get the rest of your items. To clarify, all of the postcards have a message from Lisa Frank, but a random select 25 of you will receive an actual hand-signed card! And for those who are going to ask, we didn’t choose those 25 here at the Doll House :) they are going to be randomly filled by our warehouse and we have no idea who the lucky few are/ will be. We made this as RANDOM as possible as it was the only way to ensure complete fairness. 
• New Highlighter Shade: Thank you all so much for the feedback and for sharing your comments on the options we provided. Option #2 ended up winning by a LANDSLIDE! 

• Check out the video below of the swatch in action! To regroup and clarify, this highlighter is not going to be pressed! It is going to be in a loose powder container complete with a brush for easy and quick application!

 In-house makeup artist Saranda explains "This loose Rose Gold highlighter is not only universal in shade, making it suitable for light to dark skin tones, but it is also finely milled with iridescent glitters giving off a beautiful shine unlike any other highlighter I've seen! This powder packs a 'high glow' with fine gold and lilac glitter, only for true Lisa fans! Of course as a loose powder, the uses are extremely versatile. We have tried it not only as a powder on the face, eyes and body, but with a mixing medium as well! It transformed into a liquid highlighter, making it's uses unlimited!" #LISAGLOWGETTERS

We also wanted to share a bit about our retail partnerships with Hot Topic, Ipsy, and Dolls Kill as well to clear up any confusion from previous updates!

The eyeshadow that leaked on Hot Topic that some of you eagle-eyes caught (WE ARE SO IMPRESSED!!!) was supposed to be a teaser promo for what’s to come, and were 100% not aware that they would be breaking the news so soon!

We’re of course THRILLED to have such an amazing partnership, but we truly had no idea they were launching this promo so early. Now that the cat is out of the bag (so to speak) we’d love to formally introduce you to the NEW Single Eyeshadow shades in the Lisa Frank x Glamour Dolls line!

Meet your NEW Single Eyeshadow Shades in Heartthrob & Stargazing!!!

We know the next big question will be IF and WHEN you can snap these up to add them to your iconic Lisa Frank collection, right? Well, as you can see you’re able to grab Heartthrob from our trusted retail partner Hot Topic NOW, and they also will be carrying Stargazing! We unfortunately don’t have control over retail partner pricing but can assure you that these shades WILL be available on our site for purchase starting in December!

Now, we will leave you with one other little teaser because we have to keep some surprises if we can...right?! We’re letting you know right now that there IS one more single eyeshadow shade…

...but you’re going to have to wait until December to see it in all of it’s glory!!!

Travel Bronzer + Eyeshadow, Highlight Powder SURVEY, Nail Polish 3d Printed Sample

Hi Backers!

Happy almost-weekend! This week’s update is full of all sorts of fun and interesting news that we’re excited to share with you all! Let’s start with the first (and biggest) concern we’ve seen crop up in the comments section here regarding priority.

Backers are always our #1 priority. As Peter explained in update #39, 4 products were in existence before the Kickstarter launched. Those were the Lisa Frank Blush Brushes, the Lisa Frank Blending Brushes, the Matte Bronzers, and the Single Eyeshadows. They were developed specifically for one customer, Ipsy. These products were offered during the KS campaign as an additional perk or add-on so that you can truly have everything in the collection. Beyond these products, we can assure you that anything being developed through Kickstarter will be in your hands first.

The good news is that the Single Eyeshadows & Matte Bronzers started being shipped out this week (the first week in November), and anyone who Backed these items has or will receive tracking information from our team via email from [email protected]. For those of you who didn’t Back these items or aren’t receiving them as part of Ipsy, they will be available on our website to purchase!

Now, let’s talk about some FUN stuff!!!

NAIL POLISH!!!

Remember a few updates ago when we shared the art dieline for the Lisa Frank nail polish, and showed different types of bottle caps? The next step we took was getting the caps 3d printed...Check out how one of the caps turned out!! Cool, right?

Why the 3d print? It’s a great way to inspect the model for any potential red flags before moving into creating a mold and subsequently...production! The Product Development team will now make any small adjustments needed to the art dielines for both the cap and bottle, and get a complete mold underway.

Next? 

 HIGHLIGHT POWDER!!!

Earlier in the year, we asked you all which highlight powder you'd like to see come to life in true Lisa Frank form! ‘Opal’ took the vote and we’ve been working to produce the perfect Opal-shaded powder over the past few months.

From a technical standpoint, our Product Development team starts with a white powder base, and infuses various shimmer pigments into it to create the ultimate Opal highlight shade that swatches to perfection, has premium-grade glitter particles that won’t ever appear chunky once applied, and melts flawlessly into the skin for an epic highlight that could be seen from outer space!!

After spending countless hours developing samples with our manufacturers, we simply aren’t happy with how Opal swatches on a wide range of skintones as it isn’t universally-flattering. Taking this into consideration, our Product Development team has decided to cast a REVOTE! Instead of producing a highlight powder that we aren't proud of and that many of you won’t enjoy using, we’ve perfected three OTHER shades that we ARE proud of!!

Many of you have been asking for new estimated ship dates/ production deadlines and we hear you. We’ve made the mistake of underestimating production before, and we need to tie up a few loose ends before we can commit to a new estimated ship date with you all. Thank you for your patience, we simply don’t want to overpromise. A few have also suggested more ingredient-focused updates and we love the suggestion, we’ll be incorporating that information more moving forward as well.
