Glamour Dolls has partnered with the legendary LISA FRANK to bring her art to the makeup community. Glamour Dolls is an indie brand that's been curated by makeup artist Jessica Romano on a mission to put out high-quality cosmetics at a price that every doll in the world can afford!
Lisa Frank is known for her bright rainbows and adorable characters: unicorns, dolphins, leopards, and more! This line is geared toward the 80's and 90's kid that grew up loving Lisa- but also revved up to introduce her to a whole new generation of fans in the form of premium quality, affordable, cruelty-free, vegan makeup.

Hey everyone,
We've had a great week of progress on your Kickstarter rewards and wanted to share the good news with you =)
Last week we flew out to Arizona and spent a few days with Lisa at her studio getting through much of the remaining artwork. It gave us the chance to sit down and confirm some really cool (and bright) final design concepts for this collection of products and brainstorm some exciting ideas to start on once these products are fully in production.
Lisa graciously welcomed us and taught us a lot about Pantone color matching (this is an important step in converting the color of the makeup to a color that can be printed), color theory, and the little details that make her artwork so one-of-a-kind, exciting, and timeless. I would say her ability to identify color is savant-ish. Seriously amazing to watch. She can line up 5-6 different colors and shades and know exactly what color ranges (out of thousands) to look in. Needless to say, you are all in for a real treat when these products are completely finished.
The last evening we were there, we got invited by to see Lisa's garden (she has some beautiful veggies growing) and even got to cook for her which was really fun (she said we can come back and make her a spanakopita whenever we want).
But back to the products. Most of our production facilities have been closed for the past 3 weeks for Chinese New Year (they definitely get better vacation days than we do in the US) and will be fully back online this coming week or the following. The good news is we've started to place the next orders for production and samples. To help you understand the progress of each of your products, the team made a product matrix below:

Hi Everyone,
Will you be our Glam Fam Valentine? =)
I just wanted to thank everyone who called in Sunday again for taking time out of their lives to care about this project and the makeup that we're working on from the wonderful and magical world of Lisa Frank.
Below is an audio recording of the call so that those of you who couldn't make it can catch up on what we discussed.
We'll do our absolute best to continue to update you as much as possible, because we know how important it is for all of you. We're working on a status matrix for all the products in the next few days so stay tuned.
Also happy to report that we're seeing the finishing touches for the artwork on a few more products and are excited to get started on production soon. We sent Lisa a bouquet of flowers for Vday, which she loved and shared a photo from her desk where the magic happens.

Hi Backers,
been a pretty cold few weeks for those of us in the northeast – I hope you all are staying warm or are lucky enough to live in a part of the country or the world that is always warm 😊
It’s been awhile since I personally reached out to all of you, so I just wanted to check in and update you on a few things that we have going on at the Doll House.
Communication: We understand that many of you feel that we don’t post updates regularly enough, or that the updates we post don’t contain enough important information on production schedules and shipping of the products you backed. I feel your pain and am going to do my absolute best to update you every week on the progress of the products you’ve all been waiting for. That being said, there will be times that we don’t have a lot of new information (samples can sometimes take a few weeks), but from what you’ve been telling us, it’s important to know what’s going on regardless. We will give you the absolute best estimates we have and will update you should those delivery estimates change, hopefully for the better and sooner so you can all have these beautiful and sure-to-be instantly classic products in your hands =)
Delivery Schedules: There’s no doubt that we have struggled with giving you accurate delivery schedules for your products. I can assure you that there are very good reasons for the delays. For one, we are working around the clock to make these products completely unique and unlike any other cosmetics products on the market - it wouldn’t be appropriate to do anything less with Lisa Frank’s one-of-a-kind artwork. However, creating unique products often involves unique challenges. I’ll give you a few examples:
The Highlight Shimmer Powder was initially created with a cool and convenient tube and beautiful packaging and it took a very long time - much longer than we thought - to get the color and formula just right, but this ended up being a blessing in disguise. After having the tube for several months, we discovered that it sometimes leaked! We would never want to give you a product that leaks, so we spent more time making sure that it was absolutely perfect so that you would receive nothing less than a perfect product.
The Unicorn Lippie is an actual recreation of a tiny unicorn with a mane, horn, and tail that are so colorful you’ll be seeing Double (and maybe Triple ;)) Rainbows. As it turns out, creating such a beautiful product requires HAND PAINTING. This makes the production process much slower, and we have to review the painting at every step of the way, but at the end of the day you’re going to have a wonderful product that was created by hand, just for you.
Facebook: I recently reached out to a group of backers on Facebook who were concerned about our delivery schedule and the timeliness of our Kickstarter updates. To address their concerns (and also catch up with everyone!), I have scheduled a conference call to take place on Sunday, February 11th, at 9PM EST. If you can’t attend, no worries, we will post an audio recording of the call as a Kickstarter update. If you’d like to attend, please email [email protected] and we will send you the dial-in information. Maybe I’ll catch you there!
Product Delivery: We know you’ve been anxiously awaiting these products, so we have been working with our warehousing and shipping company to find a solution to send the next available products to you as they are created. What does this mean for you? Well, most companies would wait until all of the products are finished and then ship them in one package. We’re going to try and do one better, and send the products to you as they are finished. We’ll of course continue to update you on this status during our regular Kickstarter updates.

So we we casted a REVOTE for a new shade. ‘Rose Gold’ won that revote by a landslide. We believed this shade was a great choice, as it’s complimentary on all skin tones.
...BUT, we heard you all when you said that you REALLLLLLLLLLLLLY wished we could still formulate an awesome ‘Opal.’ So over the holiday season, our little elves worked endless hours to create the perfect shimmery ‘Opal’ formula and shade that is sure to make your glittery dreams come true!
